![]() ![]() Given this extreme flakiness of El Capitan (10.11) Mail, I hope that the next release of El Capitan does not mess things up again. I'm not 100% certain that I didn't lose any emails in the process, but at first glance things seem okay. But removing the account by way of Internet Accounts seems to have fixed the crashing issue. In retrospect, it could be that the inactive status of te Exchange account was the problem. ![]() I then deleted the duplicated accounts, and the ship remains afloat. I started Mail again, and it's still running. Check that you have the most current version of the app, and if not. So I went into Internet accounts and deleted the Exchange account. Its always smart to start with the simplest fix possible. Mail then crashed but I remembered that some folks were having trouble with El Capitan mail and Exchange accounts. ![]() ![]() I also noticed an Exchange account no longer in use. During the most recent attempt, I managed to look at my accounts and discovered duplicated accounts, except that for each pop account there was a new imap account. A glutton for punishment, over the past few days I kept restarting Mail just to see if there was something that I was not thinking of. 1 First of all, Go to Apple Logo on the top Menu bar on mac 2 Choose System Settings 3 Click General in the system settings pane 3 finally, click on Software Update to download & install the latest firmware on your Mac laptop or iMac dekstop. Up until 20 minutes ago, starting Mail would end with an application crash in less than 30 seconds. ![]()
